Culinary Uses.

Makes excellent Mint Tea.

Crystallize as sweet for decoration.

Great in Gin, Mojito or other drinks.

Lovely with ice cream or sorbet

Other Uses.

Can be grown near roses to deter aphids.

Scattered leaves can deter mice.

Can be used in pot pourri.

 

A striking form of perennial mint with bright green foliage, flushed with purple.  They produces a strong spearmint scent when crushed.  Clusters of small lilac flowers which are very attractive to pollinators. As with most mints it is best restricted in a bottomless pot in the garden.
